Tekamah-Herman Speech Team

Speech is not an elective class this year, but the freshmen are required to complete a class called communications for one quarter. In this class they learn how to write and present speeches. They also learn basic speaking skills and how to make speeches interesting. Even though speech is not required nor offered as an elective class, the speech team allows high school students to participate in speech related activities. It also gives them the chance to speak to others and have the teams' support behind them. Speech is an important skill to have, and it is something that we will need in the future for almost everything.
