NAME:

GUY MYTTY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

FUNDS:

The funds for this scholarship shall be deposited in the First National Bank Northeast in Tekamah, Nebraska, and housed in an account named Guy Mytty Memorial Scholarship under an umbrella account of the Tekamah-Herman Public Schools Foundation.

CONTROL:

The scholarship committee will be comprised of Mr. Trey Mytty, the School Superintendent, the School Counselor, and a social science teacher.

AMOUNT:

The amount of this scholarship will be the interest accumulated on the principle in the account listed as The Guy Mytty Memorial Scholarship which is in the Tekamah-Herman Public Schools Foundation account. The amount awarded each year will not be less than $250.00. Part of the principle may be used to bring the award to this amount.

ELIGIBILITY:

A. The applicant must be a graduating senior at Tekamah-Herman Community Schools.

B. The applicant must plan to attend and be accepted by some type of approved education beyond high school. This may be a four year college, a vocational school, trade school, business school or cosmotology school.

C. The applicant must have a GPA of at least 2.00.

D. Citizenship will be considered in awarding this scholarship.

E. Working to one's potential will be considered in awarding this scholarship.

F. Financial need will be considered.

G. The applicant must make formal application. The forms are available by clicking on Application Form at the bottom of this application. Applications are due April 15th of any application year.

DISBURSEMENT:

This scholarship will be awarded annually at the beginning of the second term of the first year of school, usually in January. The check will be made out to both the recipient and the school he/she is attending.

SELECTION:

The committee will determine who the recipient of this Scholarship will be. This shall be done prior to the date of graduation exercises each year.

CHANGES:

Any changes governing this scholarship will be made by the committee.
