BERNARD LEMASTER SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship Rules
1. NAME
A. This scholarship shall be known as the "BERNARD LEMASTER SCHOLARSHIP" .
2. MONEY
A. The funds for this scholarship shall be deposited in the First National Bank Northeast in the Tekamah-Herman Public Schools Foundation account under the name "BERNARD LEMASTER SCHOLARSHIP."
3. CONTROL
A. This scholarship shall be controlled by a committee composed of a member of the Bernard LeMaster family and a member of the Tekamah-Herman Public Schools faculty.
4. AMOUNT
A.The amount of this scholarship shall be the interest accumulated annually on the certificate of deposit labeled, "Bernard LeMaster Scholarship".
5. FREQUENCY
A. This scholarship shall be awarded annually.
6. ELIGIBILITY
A. The applicant must be a senior at the Tekamah-Herman Community Schools.
B. The applicant must plan to attend and be accepted at some type of approved education beyond high school. This could be some type of college, vocational, trade, business or cosmotology school. Preference will be given to those applicants whose interests are agriculture related.
C. Grades
1. Students who are being considered for a scholarship in a vocational technical institution or for a scholarship in a program or course of studies that does not award a baccalaureate degree upon completion shall have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.500.
2. Students who are being considered for a scholarship in four year program leading to a baccalaureate degree shall have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.000.D. The applicant's financial need will be a consideration.
E. The applicant must make formal application.

This scholarship shall be awarded at the beginning of the second term of the freshman year of college, normally in January.1. If the student drops out of school before the award is given, he/she shall forfeit the scholarship award.
A. The committee shall determine who the recipients of this scholarship shall be. This shall be done prior to the date of senior graduation exercises each year.
A. Any changes governing this scholarship will be made by the committee.
